Amelia Henriot & Focus LDN present
In May, 2016 Focus LDN worked closely with Amelia Henriot to organise a charity art auction to help the survivors of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake rebuild their homes and their lives.
Bringing together a group of generous artists who donated paintings to the exhibition, Focus LDN curated the Future Nepal exhibition in the gallery space UCS in Hampstead.
"I knew from very early on that I needed to organise a fundraising event to raise sufficient funds to execute the projects I had in mind. I am extremely thankful to Tom Cox and Focus LDN because they were the core of this event… without his help and the group of generous artists, the beautifully presented silent art auction idea would not have materialised! " Amelia Henriot.
Just under £14,000 of funds were raised through generous donations and bids made during the silent art auction. This money was used to build the lovely Ghimire family a new home, and put two of their sons through a year of university each. Then funding was given to another family to put their two girls and one boy through school.
The project isn't over yet!
